Rush builds

In a bind on a date? We have built finished units in about 80 days.

Most HLE units deliver 3 to 6 months after the signed order. When a program can't wait (a grant deadline, a contract start date, a unit that went out of service), HLE has taken fully finished specialty vehicles from purchase order to completion in about 80 days. Twice.

Tabatha or one of the team will reach out shortly and tell you on that first call whether your date can be met.

~80 days

Purchase order to finished unit: two mobile probation and parole offices for the Virginia Department of Corrections.

~80 days

Purchase orders to sale: three 53-ft mobile lab trailers for a state technical college system, quoted at 90 to 120 days.

5 units

Fully finished, with the interior, generator and equipment installed. Not bare shells.

Why it can be done

One plant builds the whole body.

The laser and press brake, steel cage, harness shop and rain booth are all under one roof in Wakarusa, Indiana (powder coat goes to a dedicated powder-coating shop), and HLE engineering draws the floor plan in house. A rush order is not waiting in line at an outside shop.

What decides your date

  • The chassis: in stock, or on order
  • Long-lead equipment: medical, imaging, generators, lifts
  • How fast the floor plan and options are approved

The dated schedule for your unit is in the proposal. Standard timelines are on the delivery timeline.
